When Leading Means Leaving

Some decisions in politics are easy. It is not hard to oppose Trump and every vile thing he stands for.

In general though political decisions are not often so clear cut. In 2017 – sooner rather than later – Premier Kathleen Wynne will have such a decision to make about her future, and in fact the future of the province.  (more…)

Teach Your Children Well

A national newspaper referred to the “Sex-Ed problem”, regarding the ongoing curriculum dispute between the province and some parents. There is no Sex-Ed problem, there is an irresponsible parent problem. These parents are abdicating a responsibility to their children, to others as well, and it needs to stop.

To parents who plan on opting their kids out of the province’s curriculum, or in protest of it have pulled their kids out of class all together. If you want to teach your children, I implore you then to stop teaching them to be selfish. (more…)

No Doug, No Problem

If at first you don’t succeed, try something you’re even less qualified for? Not exactly conventional wisdom, but very little of that applies when talking about the Fords. For example, holding a press conference to announce you’re not running for office. Doug Ford announced earlier he will not seek to replace Tim Hudak, as leader of the Progressive Conservative party of Ontario. Some Liberals may disagree but this incredibly good for everyone. My one month old daughter is more qualified than Doug. At least when she’s full of poop she acknowledges it, loudly. (more…)
